b-ville it is then

packing has got to be my least favorite part of moving... a close second comes the unorganized chaos of unpacking. my parents and one of my little sisters, Chrissy, were ROCKSTARS this weekend! my dad drove the moving truck all the way from the DF-dub being chased by a crazy storm... AND the check engine light came on as he was crossing from texas into oklahoma! They helped me unpack which proved to test all of our nerves. we ate awesome sandwhiches at the press room in b-ville & the green submarine in fay-town.

pics from the apartment: my fav calendar cut & framed (calendar by kris10's creations), flowers my mom picked up for me from the b-ville farmer's market (we also stuffed our faces with crepes from here!!!), fresh-to-death cabinet nobs, & a little reminder in the living room (be still & know He is God). It's all coming together rather nicely... and I can't wait until I can finally say I'M DIZONE!!! already loving exploring b-ville... I'll update more about it later!

ps there's a new Whole30 (I started today ahh) page. check it yo.

thankful

what I'm thankful for lately: books that challenge me to put myself aside, homemade granola, fresh veggies, brunch @ breadwinner's with the name twin, a place to live in Bentonville, parents who help me move, a little brother who is pursuing God's plan for his life, sleeping with no alarm, 3 awesome weeks of South Dallas Experience, 3 bombDOTcom soon-to-be co-workers, reading in a hammock, awesome deals at anthro, and crossing things off the list.

speaking of lists, here's a quick update:
last week of South Dallas
laundry
pack
hang with the name twin (Allison Berry)... did it, but not off the list yet :D
eat here, here, AND HERE!
not to mention spend some QT at The Pearl Cup!
read Kisses from Katie
rent a moving truck
get a mattress
...6 days to go! let's do this thing!!

dallas lately

This past week we took 24 junior high kids from Watermark to Rochester Park in South Dallas to love on some kiddos! It was so cool to see how God brought more and more kids each day even though the neighborhood was an older peeps neighborhood... the last day a bus pulled up from a daycare with at least 20 littles!!

I am so proud of the way our jr high kids loved, worshiped, and partied this past week! karaoke was epic the last night!
Girls Afternoon Out with the (blonde) sister and the madre at Taste of Dallas & Downtown Dallas Farmer's Market was bombDOTcom

In other news, I found out my apartment will be ready to move in July 27th.... a whole 2 days before I start the new job! (insert crazy here) I am thankful that it'll be ready BEFORE I start @ Fellowship, but my stomach does a few flips when I start to think about that quick turn around. PEOPLE.... I MOVE IN 12 (count 'em) DAYS!!! what the nut?!

So excited/nervous for this new adventure... but @ the same time I've got a LOT to do before then:

last week of South Dallas
laundry
pack
hang with the name twin (Allison Berry)
eat here, here, AND HERE!
not to mention spend some QT at The Pearl Cup!

I'll be sure to keep y'all posted on how this checklist dwindles down, or gets added to! peace out girl scouts.. off to the last week of South Dallas!

i could live here

just got back last night from estes park, colorado with fellowship student ministries. i am completely convinced i could totally live in colorado... at least during the summer :D people who know me might second guess that since cold + me = worst

we spent the week at revencrest chalet where we climbed mountains, mountain biked, played ultimate (well... soome of us played others of us tried), learned fishball, trust falled, volleyballed it up, kayaked, worshipped the Lord, made new friends, and much much more! here are some pics from the week

roadtrip fun = 5 strand braids

the view from my morning QT with Jesus

on the way up Longs Peak... we started @ 3 am
the sun comes up it's a new day dawning... it's time to sing Your song again

taking a break on the way up... above the treeline @ sunrise

the view from the keyhole... wish we could have summited BUT the weather didn't permit

lunch break @ 9 am in the boulder field

on the way down... there are no words for how beautiful this is

so cool to see the waterfall on the way down that we could only hear on the way up

the whole trip was a huge learning experience and so much fun! the four FSM staff girls got to hang for the first time which was incredible... cannot even wait to work with this team in T minus 2.5 weeks! this whole week just proved to me that God's timing and His plan are totally worth waiting for and following!
