south dallas numero uno

ok the first South Dallas Experience was awesome! We took 24 junior high (6-8 grade) students to South Dallas to do Bible Club in the mornings and hard-core service projects in the afternoon. Our kids were amazing, brave, incredible and I am so stinkin proud of them! Here are some pics from the week

My next adventure is to Estes Park, CO with Fellowship Student Ministries for our Ravencrest Trip! I leave tomorrow (Saturday AM) on a plane to Arkansas, then we leave bright & early Sunday morning at 6:30 am to drive to Colorado! Cannot even wait for mountains, sunshine, hiking, and being in God's beautiful creation for a week!

trips & checklists

update on moving:

move out of backhouse
find apartment in Arkansas
move to Bentonville, Arkansas

.... well ok, there are quite a few other things that have to be done before I can move to my new home BUT progress is being made!! Huge answer to prayer that I found an apartment this week! God is so good... why do I ever doubt that?!

Also, there's this little thing called South Dallas Experience coming up this week...
we have 24 junior high (that's 6th-8th grade) students living in South Dallas this next week, loving on kids, serving people in the community, and learning what it is to be the hands and feet of Jesus. So excited for the growth, bonding, and fun that will happen this week! GET PUMPED!!!

trusting

so as of right now I am finishing my second to last week (in the office) at Watermark Community Church. I've been interning with them this past year, and I am so grateful for all the things I've learned here! It has been an amazing year of making mistakes, learning the ministry world, getting to know myself, trusting the Lord, and adventures :) I'm about to head into an insane busy season with Watermark's junior high (wake) south dallas trips. We get to do Bible camp with some of the neighborhood kids in south dallas and then in the afternoon help demo/renovate apartments there! I also get to spend the first week in July with my new team (FSM) and some crazy kids in Colorado!!

SO right after all of this stuff I move back to the great state of Arkansas to start a new chapter... with Fellowship Student Ministries! I'm excited PUMPED for this new chapter and all that it brings! to the challenges of living in a new city (B-ville), working with a new team, making friends (check yes or no), and learning the ropes of a new job I say... BRING IT ON!
